Our transfer feature has gotten a lot of attention since its release earlier in the year. Allowing participants to handle their own registration transfers has made life easier for event directors, by allowing participants to manage transfers on their own. We are happy to announce that we have received enough feedback to make some critical improvements to this useful feature.
Formerly, when a participant wanted to transfer their entry they needed to either login to their athleteReg account or access their original confirmation email, where they could then select to edit their entry. Then, they could then transfer their entry to whomever they liked. However, this posed a problem for participants who deleted their confirmation email. Event directors have always had (and still do have) the ability to re-send the original confirmation email with the edit link, but we wanted to take the ease of use a step further.
With our new improvements, if a participant wants to transfer their entry, regardless of whether or not they used an athleteReg account or have their original confirmation email they can still do so. By using a new feature on the ‘Contact Event’ page (part of the original registration page), they can receive another copy of their confirmation email, with a link to transfer their entry. It’s as easy as that!
