Age-Based Pricing: Boost Registration Numbers with Age-Specific Discounts

By popular demand, we’ve added Age-Based Pricing! This feature allows you to automatically apply discounted entry fees for specific age groups without the hassle of coupon codes.

What is Age-Based Pricing?

Age-Based Pricing gives you the flexibility to set different entry fees based on participant age. When participants register, they simply enter their birth date, and our system automatically applies the appropriate price— helping you attract specific demographics to your event.

How to Set Up Age-Based Pricing

Setting up this feature is simple:

  1. In Category setup, scroll down to Additional Details
  2. Toggle “Enable Age-based Pricing” to ON
  3. Select your discount type (dollar amount or percentage off)
  4. Define the age range for the discount
  5. Choose whether to calculate age based on:
    • The category start date (from when you created the category)
    • The participant’s age by the end of the calendar year

Why Event Directors Love Age-Based Pricing

Age-Based Pricing provides versatility across different event types: youth-focused events can easily offer reduced pricing for younger participants, encouraging more families to register together; events can honor senior participants with special pricing, making your event more accessible to all age groups; and multi-generational events become truly inclusive by seamlessly offering appropriate pricing tiers for youth, adult, and masters divisions—all through a single registration system with zero manual intervention required.
