There’s no energy quite like the atmosphere at a finish line. Whether it’s a grueling triathlon, a local 5k, a marathon, an ultramarathon, or a high-energy Kids Mile, that feeling of crossing the threshold is universal. The sidewalks are packed with fans, cheering through teary eyes, and handmade signs held high, while athletes surge toward the tape, ready to embrace one another and claim that well-earned beer—or a juice box for the little ones. Everyone feels the buzz that only race day can provide; it’s an electric high that keeps us all coming back for more.
Since 2010, FinisherPix has been documenting these unforgettable milestones, and we’re showing no signs of slowing down. Our mission is to deliver those memories in vivid photo and video form. Long after the crowds thin out and the banners come down, the proof of your momentous achievement lives on. As the Production Manager for FinisherPix, a leading endurance event photography service, I’ve witnessed these moments for athletes all over the world.

We’ve spent countless weekends snapping the iconic shots that now hang in competitors’ homes—34,459,612 photos in 2025 alone, to be exact! Join us as we break down the top races, key statistics, and standout moments from the FinisherPix 2025 Year in Review.
Capturing Endurance Events Around the World
Out of the 528 races we covered in 2025, the vast majority were tests of pure endurance. From kids’ fun runs and 10k trail runs, to gravel bike and mountain bike races, and the ultimate Ironman events, FinisherPix photographers were there.
The data shows a clear trend: more people than ever are gravitating toward long-distance pursuits. You can see it in the massive crowds lining up at the start lines of high-mileage races. For perspective:
- 97 of our 528 races were 70.3 triathlons.
- 104 were half marathons.
- 69 were full-length marathons.
Across the globe, people are signing up for these daunting challenges, and FinisherPix is behind the lens, ready to capture the grit and grace of every participant. In 2025, the average gallery for a single participant included 28 photos. Our photographers are strategically stationed along every course to ensure your personal gallery contains variety.
A Global Network of 2,602 Race Photographers
From 301 cities to 51 countries, FinisherPix went everywhere in 2025. With a powerhouse team of 2,602 photographers across the globe, we’ve built a worldwide community dedicated to capturing every athlete’s big moment. Our village isn’t just local—it’s international.
Speedy Athletes Deserve Speedy Delivery
FinisherPix remains a leader in the industry, and over the past few years, we’ve made lightning-fast gallery turnaround our absolute priority. Our team of computer wizards has found the perfect mix of recognition, timing tools, photo analysis with some AI magic sprinkled in, to ensure event participants get more photos faster and more accurately than ever before. With some turnaround times as early as 24 hours after the race, athletes can relive those glorious, sweat-dripping moments before the soreness even kicks in.
See you on the Start Line (and throughout the Course, and the Finish Line)
